HELP!!!! LOOKING FOR A BODY KIT

    hi . im looking for a body kit for a 1997 ford escort 1.4 mk 6/7 quartz . the only problem is that its the saloon body type and i cannot find any mods for the car . front bumpers are grand but side skirts and rear bumper are impossible to find . any help is much appreciated

    You try ebay always has stuff on it our type into google and select images see what comes up?

    that rear bumper was fairly unique to the saloon alright, tried taking parts from one before

    I've seen painted ones on the ghia models, same shape though that's the only difference

    Unless you go down the totally custom route, that rear bumper is staying put



    I'd two escorts in the past, the last one I had was a 3dr which came with the full RS2000 bodykit from the factory as they probably had a surplus of body trim from the end of production in 1996

    the side skirts might fit the saloon, they do fit the 5dr hatch - no guarantees on that one

    But I'd say RS2000 (not cosworth -totally different beast) side skirts could prove very very hard to find these days

    as an example, when I bought my last one in 2009 there were 400+ examples on Pistonheads, last week there were under 100 (24 since site revamp, but ignore that)


    it's a mk6 too btw, :) mk7 never existed, the confusion lies in the mk5.5 facelift model
