Just got signed for 3 million dollars.

Not sure if he's worth that much but on a first listen this tape is extremely good. The beats are top notch. It's got a few OFWGKTA type gimmicks but there's no shock rap type stuff that grates on my nerves. It's a nice laid back roller like Kendrick Lamars or Curren$y would put out.

Palace is a ridicously good opener, this Clams Casio guy is really impressive

Looks like ASAP is blowing up quick, and a $3 million record deal?

    Not bad at all!

Shaweet, his first EP was class.

EDIT: First two download links are dead for some reason. LiveMiptapes and DatPiff are working though.

woah started listening to this fella the last week or two, liking him big time.

real nice modern day yonkers flow and music to him.

Absolutely loving this tape, some great tracks on there, don't know how I missed this thread up til now...

He doesn't say anything that merits paying attention to the words but he's got loads of different flows and gels with all the beats really nicely. Great background music.

Exactly, he's more like a backdrop for the beats rather than vice versa, ASAP Rocky does a good job at helping you get lost in these beats

The only downside to this tape, for me, is the mastering on Demons, (unlistenable to me, and I don't say that often) and Acid Drip, (doesn't fit on here at all) other than that, it's probably the most enjoyable album I've heard all year, the replay value is through the roof

Listening to this guy a lot these days, really loving 'Leaf', 'Bass' and 'Wassup'.. saw a recent interview where he said he's working with T-Minus, Hit Boy and Pharrell for his album, will be interesting to see what he comes out with next, really looking forward to hearing more from him.

Id say its because you have heard his style from several other NYC rappers imo, his music is good but he doesn't stand out as unique for me.

he's from the same mold/style as say his dipset neighbors who are also from harlem.

First impression is a bit meh. Could take him or leave him. Kinda feel the same way about him as I do about J. Cole - they're fine, but they don't really excite me. There's something missing, for me.

video for wassup has been released, always felt this beat/song had a lot more potential though, its like your waiting for it to kick in but never really does still a nice song though.

I like that song a lot but the video is really naff. It's like they ticked a checklist of things Tumblr peeps would make .gifs out of. Surprising because their other videos were spot on.

might aswell put it in here instead of starting an ASAP thread.

1st song of his debut, not bad has its moments. the hook could of been better imo.

beats banging, asap flows nice but the hook throws me of.

another song performed at coachella called "tuggin noises" sounds a lot better, more than likely on the album i say if performed at the concert.

iv only heard of him producing niggas in paris , does he have many more hits/bangers?

    Hit Boy has a good few beats to his name, off the top of my head;

    Theraflu by Kanye
Drop The World - Lil Wayne
    Pusha T - My God
Game - Good, The Bad, the Ugly

I'm liking Goldie, typical ASAP really :)

Still, I hope Clams handles a good chunk of the production on Rocky's deubt

Has a few nice tracks to his name, first heard of him in '09 when he produced 'Good, Bad, Ugly' for Game and have kept up with him since then, really has come a long way I think.

Here's a video of him going through a few of his unreleased beats with Fabolous

...and a video with Levi Maestro. Don't know what it is but I really like watching him work.

I like Goldie, the beat is great. Haven't totally warmed up to Rocky, I liked his last mixtape but I find his stuff a bit repetitive at times..looking forward to his album though.
