New(old) headset

Currently I have Creative Fatality headset but microphone is down. I just wonder if stand alone microphone would be good for voice chat in bf 3 ? I'm not talking about some expensive one but some very cheap. I was looking on adverts and dd.ie to get some ideas but tbh. there is nothing. Any Ideas for cheap and good set ?
