    What are the chances of getting a permanent ban lifted?
    Is there an appeals process that you can go through?
    I know I could simply reregister under a different name and email but I'd
    rather get back into a forum legitimately if at all possible.

    If you mean the ban from motors, you should talk to the motors mods about it.

    Re-regging to avoid a ban gets both accounts sitebanned.
