Hi My current rate option on my mortgage is up this month marking the end of my first year & I have to decide if I want to fix it or stay variable but Im at 5.1% now & they are now offering me 6.1%. Fixed rates are crazy at 7.25% for 2year & 8.75% for 5 year. does this rate seem high considering how everyone is saying how…

Hi

It should be ok assuming you of course budgeted for rates to rise.
Is switching even a realistic option for you?
