He's sold the last 2 off done deal, but would be glad to hear better/other suggestions I'd imagine :)

Well if he has then he'll probably have no problem selling that fiesta on there too. I know a few who had trouble selling newer more expensive cars on donedeal. It seems to me to be a site more suited to selling older less expensive cars. Everyone's experience is different though so im open to correction. :)

€400, will listen to offers! Car looks fab, good colour, good wheels, moo cow and the dash looks modern-ish. Lacking the all important V6.

Would really love to dip my toes in with something like that but the Toyota driver inside my head says that'd you'd be setting yourself up for pain?

The car is grand apart from that horrid front grille and the interior seat design.

Since its an import wouldnt the centre console / satnav things language be in Japanese and not English?

I'm kinda interested in buying a TT they are pricey though!

By running costs being high do you mean Tax and fuel costs or maintenance also?

Well in my case - everything.
I want to downgrade from subaru wrx to lower running costs. That audi wouldn't be be any cheaper to run. Mpg would be same, insurance same, tax is only Tony bit less.
Then again we talking about audi here, they are lovely, but parts are expensive. On top of that I wouldn't put audi as most reliable brand too. I would take subaru over audi TT reliability wise any day of the week.

Other then that, if you know what you going for, then that audi is great. Enough power and still looks very cool for its age. A few regulars here had them.

Almost a year to the day since I test drove that car at that dealer. Mad how some stuff just doesn't sell, very straight annd honest car at ok money.

Biggest issue at the time was that I still had my 04 Corolla and I think they wanted €1k with my Corolla for the Celica which was priced at €1950 at the time.

driving very well... no NCT, needs a wheel bearing and drop links
only selling it because i don't use it due to having a company vehicle... will swap for a WRX or Glanza

you just would never dream of calling because the seller is such a blatant liar, you would never know where you really stand.

My brother has a Bravo just abandoned at the side of his house.
I think it has the same 20v 2litre engine as that.
    Sport seats and bodykit.
He hasn't driven it in years.
Probably worth next to nothing now which is a shame as i guess it was/is rare enough.
I remember taking it for a spin years ago and surprised how lively it was.

still lusting after a set of OEM wheels. messaged this guy... his feedback isn't great, but he said €150 for the wheels or the full car for €350.

leather, sunroof... €350 for every spare part i could ever need.

Does your car have leather? Personally not a fan in the celica but for everything else its quite a bargain

Though I think the wheels on your car are great

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

yeah, already have leather. not a fan of how it feels either actually, but i love how the interior never gets dusty like it would with cloth seats.

i like my wheels, but your the first person not inside my head to say they do. not saying i'm changing the car to please the rest of the world but a lot of people have told me they look ****, i think it's the offset vs. the standard wheels, my own look a little too set back in the arches i think.

ultimately i don't really care but if i could get a nice cheap set of OEM wheels i would :pac:

I might be wrong, but I thought the 20v version in the Coupe was the turbo version?
And yes, your brothers one is a very rare car.

Looking at a skoda superb with 190K miles on it , has anyone any opinions on this , would high mileage on a 115 BHP 1.9TDI put you off a superb ? 08 model at a decent price

I wonder if 115 is enough to pull and be economical on such a heavy car? 190k miles (it's an import?) wouldn't worry me too much if the relevant jobs have been done.
    Average of 23k per year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

maybe the bhp gives it away, i'm not sure but if it's an >08 model it's really just a B5 Passat which 115bhp would be more than adequate in. if it's the 08> model it could be a BXE engine and that would possibly be a bit dicey at that mileage?

08 S Class with 500k on the clock, seems fairly pricey @ nearly €10k though needing a potential new engine?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

seller seems like a lovely friendly chap.

seems to be a trader with an eclectic mix of unsaleable sh1te like a convertible focus diesel, a W203 2.6 petrol with 200k miles, no tax or test for €2k, a particularly shagged looking Boxster "low mileage... just back from a round trip to Spain" and a 7 year old Fabia with panel damage and no engine for €3k.

i really want to text him to ask him to swap for the Celica.

you have to love adverts, on the S Class ad, "Good afternoon, can pay 5000 max if bodywork is clean and mileage is not recorded in nmr". what a lovely chap Peter sounds like, i wonder what he plans on doing with it?

Grand car for the scrappage scheme.

All of the scrappage deals from various manufacturers stipulate the car must have valid NCT and be owned by the buyer for some time and be taxed so hardly going to find a buyer that way

Though you'd be hard to find any buyer with an ad like that!

    Last of the Mk1's ?
I felt they were underpowered comeing from a 105bhp Octavia Mk2 and a 140bhp Altea XL

This engine is nothing special in terms of performance but a 1.5 VTEC E facelift Civic in 3dr form is a rare sight in this country and even in the UK.

This is the car in question, ticks a few boxes for me and just within budget, I bought a Mazda 6 Ts2 2.0D in December loved it but was lowered and didn't suite my roads at all got my money back on it so have 4K . We have a 07 passat 105BHP with 200 Miles on it on the street also so I know what low power is all about !!! I will be doing about 20K miles a year I reckon. Cheap tax is obviously tempting , I plan on changing the Passat in the next two years for a big family car, happy to run up the miles on it now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

maybe i'm too coy but €4250 seems like a lot to risk on a 190k miles Lithuanian spec Passat with no warranty and essentially no NCT. if it didn't have cheap tax, you wouldn't blink twice at it.

Have to agree with you there.
    @bennyc
If your only after a cheep run about for your self would you consider something smaller since you have a passat for family stuff. Id be of the opinion to save a bit now so in 2 years when your replacing the passat you would have more money and could look at the 08+ superb's

    I really woukd love that:

They are indeed but they could of been fitted to that car later in life. If Honda is written on them then there is a good chance they were fitted first day. However if they are aftermarket they will be some other brand such as depo.
