Is it just me or is absolutely the most disgusting water I have tasted anywhere in Dublin. Tastes a bit like there's paint in it at times, other a scent of what the canal is like when the water is out of it...

They wanna start charging for this crap soon?

yeah, same with us. the smell of chemicals from it is horrendous.

we bought a water filter jug which has solved the problem on a small scale but i am looking at getting a filtering system in.

Well, hopefully the point of charging is that they'll be able to spend that money on improving water infrastructure like they do in other countries.

I will agree, it's pretty poor. Tastes milky sometimes.

Do tell us more. Out in Balbriggan the water tastes like it's come from a swimming pool there's that much crap in the water. I know you can get filtering systems but have no idea of the cost- have you had any estimates?

    was looking at these

but it would just be for the kitchen sink.

Friends in Louth got a much larger one for showering etc, as they couldnt use the water at all due to the lime - theirs cost around 2k.

It's a bit weird how houses from years ago seem to have a very good system in place yet these new super homes don't. Bloody joke if you ask me. Something definitely overlooked in the regulation somewhat.

Ah well, another jug it is so.

I used that ad but I just bought replacement filters for my existing system (same as on the ad) he threw in a free tap as well because my one is banjaxed but I haven't a clue how to fit it! My drinking water is ace now though after not changing the filter for 3 years

Maybe they are pumping it in from the giant foundation pit ( in front of the Londis shop) thats been manky for 3 years. i have discussed it with Fingal but they politely told me to feck off, nothing can be done :(
