We are an established originals classic/hard rock 4-piece band (Vox, Guitar, Bass, Drums) from and based in Dublin, working for 4 years now.

Our sound has been favourably compared to Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Deep Purple and Iron Maiden to name a few and we have our own rehearsal space in Dublin City Centre.

We ave our own manager, web designer, graphic designer, merchandise and a team of people who help us out in all areas. We have our own website, youtube channel, Facebook, Twitter, Reverbnation and MySpace presence. We heavily promote our shows with flyering and postering campaigns.

Our debut EP ‘King of the Mountain’ was released in November 2010, and we toured the country to promote it. The EP has been played on international radio stations, Radio NOVA, Phantom FM, Dublin City FM, WDAR FM, Radio na Life and by rock DJ's throughout the land. ‘King of the Mountain’ is available on iTunes and a host of other download sites.

We work hard by rehearsing no less than twice a week and aim to become a professional band in the near future. We are looking for a full-time, permanent, talented bassist who will put in all the hard work needed to reach this goal.

Own Equipment is ESSENTIAL!! Backing vocal ability would be a great bonus as we do live three part harmonies, and most of our songs have backing vocals.

To hear some tracks off our EP and see live footage visit:

    Your name
    Age
    Email address
    Phone number
Short bio with older bands/gigs performed
Links to video or sound files of you playing

Auditions will be held on Sunday 20th of November 2011 starting at 2pm to 7pm and you will need to learn "Balor", "Mother Tongue" and "Independance Day" from the debut EP for the audition, you can listen to these at: http://www.myspace.com/shoctopusrock

We look forward to hearing from you. \m/\m/

    that stuff sounds great!

ten years ago i would have been your man.

nice to see some dublin talent doing heavy music!

Do you guys have any kind of fanbase at all besides friends and families?

    Bassheavy,

We have 1550 fans on Facebook so far, and we have played a solo show to 300 paying fans, so I would say we have an established fanbase.

Our debut EP has sold very well, both in Ireland and online in other countries, and we normally headline all the shows we play at. Our usual turnout for a show is about 150 people at present, which is very good by Irish rock or metal standards.

    Cheers
    Helgard

PS You are never too old to rock and roll...
