Well it's not really :) but yeah, obsessing over the date you/others were born and the amount of time that has elapsed since, definitely seems constructed.
So does counting how many times the earth goes round the sun :)

If you'd asked me 2 years ago, I'd have replied differently. I'd just lost my job, at interviews I was being told I was too old/over qualified. Suffered bouts of depression etc. Felt like crap and felt that I had nothing more to offer. I was 46 then but felt 55+.

After some professional counselling, getting back into employment, starting a regular exercise routine and losing a stone in weight, I feel younger again, maybe early to mid 40s.

Having a supportive and understanding wife has helped too. In fact, the crisis brought us closer together and our marriage is better than ever as a result.

Well yeah, but the effects of time/ageing are a reality...

Different parts of my body feel different ages.
I have the left knee of a 60 year old, the brain of a 25 year old and my genitals don't feel a day over 17.

I'm 23 but I still feel 18 in some ways. It scares me that I'm soon entering the mid-20's and I haven't managed yet to move out and get myself a proper career.

All in good time, I suppose! :p

23 but still feel like 16 or 17. Don't seem to be maturing much and hate having responsibility or being tied down to anything.

just reading another thread on AH and it got me thinking. Its my birthday today i'm 42, now i'm not fishing for birthday wishes but i have to say i dont feel like i'm 42. I probably look around that but feel like i'm late 20s or early 30s. I even think i'd be able to sit in a pub with my sons mates and have a couple of pints with them. How about you ?

Think old and you'll BE old! I'm 52. My body feels it - my mind doesn't!

    Hmmm.
Ten years ago I felt physically about 40 years older than I was and mentally about 10 years younger than I was.
Now I feel physically about 15 years younger than I am and mentally about 20 years older than I am.

Take from that what ye will.
