Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

£50 can't go wrong. Could possibly be a little more windproof around the visor edge.

Most comfortable helmet i've ever had. Won't wear anything else tbh. They're a but noisy, but i always wear earplugs.

Nitro Aikido, the cheapest 5 * rated helmet! It's a bit funky looking, but it's very comfortable, and well, just €135.

No insult taken at all. I liked the look and figured white would be visible and safer perhaps?

I checked the proper reviews, and found this:-

    http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testsratings/caberg-konda

I then went shopping and bought on ebay from Nick Noble (fast and efficient) but have a look here for various sellers......

Don't own this, but I'm wondering if the likes of these replica helmets are only for show, or could they be used and relied on

If I ever get around to getting a bike it's the one I would go for, always been a Senna fan

Might hold off on getting a CBR in Marlboro McLaren DayGlo Orange, but it would suit the helmet

    se1993-3.jpg

It's a guy in Argentina whose selling them, I'd say customs would have a field day with VAT and Duty

Just get a new helmet and get a painter to paint it in that style.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 821 ✭✭✭FiSe

    2nd, but:
This is a lid for car racing, but you can get one, just like that painted on motorcycle helmet and you can wear it every day no problem.
After all it's what's underneath the paint which saves your head and not that bling-bling on top.

BTW, I think I know this guy who painted that lid, it's done, mostly, with vinyls and he completely removed the inside of the lid before painting. Nice job on it, but I am still not quite convinced that this is the best way of how to paint lids when you have no official brand support behind you.

But to the topic, here's mine:

Here's mine. Shoei XR1000, a few years old now and not that far off replacement. Shoeis fit my head, Arais don't (both shapes!) and the XR is the best ventilated, lightest and quietest lid I've ever owned.

    Scrap the cap!
