Forgot my earpiece and have left it charging at home and I am away for a few days. Is that a hazard? It could be tricky getting qq someone into the house to unplug it as my key holder seems to be away. Help?

Should be OK. All modern electronics are set up to handle this; the charger automatically shuts off when complete and just keeps it topped-up. Theoretically something can go wrong and burst into flames, but it's no more likely to do so just because you've left it plugged in.
