God I hope she can! She's certainly earned it. But I guess all she can do is what she can do on the day - she can't control what other people can do on the day.

Seems to be in third place now after a hilly 9 miles. This race is all going to depend on the run. Podium? Kona? Can she do it? :)

Go DD, she has to make the podium with this performance :)

18.39m/h for next 21m.... 22m left on the bike...

Through 90 miles now just under 5 hours. 22 to go.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,724 ✭✭✭Dilbert75

17.34 in the last 22, average 17.93m/h for the cycle. Go Dory!

Dunno about the rest of ye but I'm getting very little done tonight refreshing the tracker every 5 mins!

Very tight between her and 4th place, who seems to be out of T2 before Dory. Hopefully she'll be able to reel her in.

Edit: Tracker is slow to update, so not sure where she is. Out of T2 in 6:40.

I was watching that lady make time on her. Its all about the run now.

    Mile 1: 9:30

Hoping it goes well for her from here.

Tough looking first run split. Hopefully she will settle into a groove

Hoping Zico is right about the tracker being slow to update...

The others in her AG don't have updates for mile 3.6 either. The leading men are missing splits for two timing mats at 7.3m and 11m, there's something awry.

They have changed splits now - 1, 13.9 and 26:2. We need her hubby on twitter!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,724 ✭✭✭Dilbert75

Yep. That's ok...better than the alternative...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,724 ✭✭✭Dilbert75

Splits are back - next 6.3 in 58:42; slight increase in pace to 9:19/mile.

  • Subscribers Posts: 19,425 ✭✭✭✭Oryx

The girls ahead are running better unfortunately. She may have to be content with her current placing.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,724 ✭✭✭Dilbert75

Long way to go...let's see how it pans out....fingers crossed for her.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,724 ✭✭✭Dilbert75

Slowed a lot up to 13.9 split - 10:18/m for last 6.6 miles

  • Subscribers Posts: 19,425 ✭✭✭✭Oryx

    Over halfway through now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,038 ✭✭✭Neady83

Everything crossed, hope she's not having a tough run

I'm still trying to figure out how anyone can follow a 3.8km swim in 57 mins with 180km on a bike in 6.25 hours. To even tackle a marathon after that is beyond my comprehension. I'm guessing there are only tough runs...

+1 I can't comprehend running a marathon let alone doing all the rest before it. Looks like the third split of the others is slower than the first two so it must be a hard section.

She's passed the 20m point! Atta girl Dory! Slowed a bit more but still going forward.

Really need to go to bed now, really can't stay up another hour....but really want to hang in to the end...

Still staying ahead of #5. First two in her ag in at 10.37 and 10.46 which are flipping amazing times.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,038 ✭✭✭Neady83

On the home straight whoop whoop :):):)

  • Registered Users Posts: 272 ✭✭Shell to Run

At 20.1 miles Dory has a 11 min lead on 5th place lady (who is slowing by the mile). Dory is on the home straight.

Should do a comfortable sub 12. Whats the betting she complains about a bad run time.

Just in case, I'm getting in early: youre doing a great run time!!!

I've a early swim in the morning so I've gotta sign off. Early congrats to you DD, I know already that you've smashed it!

There are 85 in the ag. Running 4th is pretty phenomenal.

Dory in case you read this before I get back to it: well done; I'm chuffed for you that you've done so well and not even in the context of your femur injury not that long ago.
