Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

we wish to rent a small field (1 and 1/4 acre) good flat grazing from our neighbour. He is a total gent and has just said to pay what we feel is fair.... we do not have a clue and certainly do not want to short sell him.

Can any of you knowledgable types give me some idea of a fair price (we were thinking €200 per annum - but this could be way off)??

    Thanks in advance :D Daisy

wouldn't want to rent land from you> i would consider that expensive. I think €150 - 200 would be a fair price.

A neighbour lets a field near me for the eleven mths for €300. There is an irish acre in it. Its old pasture, well fenced/watered and top quality land. He is paid in one lump in christmas week!

How can you judge their lifestyle relative to the farmers from just reading the original post ?

The other way of looking at it BOB is that there would not be that many farmers interested in a piece of ground that small.
