FM12 Screen resolution

    I'm running windows 7 on a dell inspiron laptop and have tried to play FM12 but it doesnt seem to want to let me. The game loads the initial logo screens/ads but then quits back to my desktop and a balloon comes up with an optimal screen resolution notification, i dont know how to fix it, any ideas???
