Jameson. Stick your JD up your arse. Jameson is the king of whiskeys. Just ask the bold Jimmy McNulty if you don't believe me.

    Jameson came from Dublin.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jameson_Irish_Whiskey
Jameson is a single distillery Irish whiskey produced by a division of the French distiller Pernod Ricard. Jameson is similar in its adherence to the single distillery principle to the single malt tradition, but Jameson combines malted barley with unmalted or "green" barley. The most famous component within Jameson is the "Pure Pot Still" distilling tradition.

The company was established in 1780 when John Jameson established the Bow Street Distillery in Dublin. Jameson was Scottish, a lawyer from Alloa who had married Margaret Haig, a sister of the brothers who founded the main Haig firms, and related to the Steins, a Scottish distilling family with interests in Dublin. Portraits of John and Margaret Jameson by Sir Henry Raeburn are in the collection of the National Gallery of Ireland.

Originally one of the six main Dublin Whiskeys, Jameson is now distilled in Cork, although vatting still takes place in Dublin. With annual sales of over 31 million bottles, Jameson is by far the best selling Irish whiskey in the world, as it has been sold internationally since the early 19th century when John Jameson along with his son (also named John) was producing more than a million gallons annually.[1]

Regarding Jameson,It is supposedly the favorite drink of Lady Gaga and Rihanna. The story goes that they have been mentioning it in interviews etc.in the last few years and sales have rocketed.Irish Distillers in Midleton cant make enough of the stuff at the moment.

Gaga did a gig in Cork a few years ago, just on the cusp of famedom and drank in a pub in Glounthaune (small village between Cork and Midelton). Maybe she swung by Midleton and made a deal with the Jameson people there? Product placement...

I doubt she needs the money. I'd say it's down to it being a damn good product more than anything.

No it's not, it's not made in Kentucky, can't be a bourbon. It's a ****e Tennessee sour mash.

Also, Bourbon is just a style of whiskey.
