Recommend Tablet / iPod Touch Gizmo

    A friends 14yr old wants a kindle / tablet for xmas so they were asking me to recommend something. Apparently they want to read books and maybe go on facebook play games etc... They have a price range of about 150 - 200€ so I said the iPod Touch would probably be the best for this off the top of my head.

    Has anyone any other ideas of what could be suitable for all this?

    iPod touch can be a tad expensive for a device with such a small screen. I bought an Archos 70b ereader

    It's great for reading books, a bit of browsing over WiFi, and I also watch movies and downloaded TV on it. Plays almost all common formats.

    Theres a good selection of apps for it from Archos' own "appslib" - though I havent installed any myself!

    You'd probably want to get an SDHC card for it though - I use a 32Gb one I got from www.7dayshop.com - only about €30
