Philips BDP3000 blu ray player

Hi folks... This is probably best for the attention of ash or someone in the philips store.

I have a BDP3000 and have just upgraded to the newest firmware on the philips website. After the process completed and the player turned itself off, it is now failing to restart. It powers on and says philips on the front panel but no output to the tv and no response from the buttons. Only thing I can do is pull the plug to power it off.

Funnily enough this also happened when I first upgraded on the day I bought the player too, but it started to work again after a few hours and numerous power cycles. I'm hoping it might start working again of its own accord.

I didn't actually buy the player from your store, but as I know you are closely affiliated with philips, I was hoping you might have some knowledge of the problem, or be able to put me in touch with someone in philips who could help.

On another note I just dug out my philips streamium Internet radio that I bought as a bargain from ye a number of years ago, and was surprised to find the Internet radio still working! What a bargain for 20euro if I remember rightly!!

Thats a headscratcher! and one I have not come across before to be honest:o

I'll have a chat the the guys in the service centre tomorrow and see if they have heard of this problemand see if they have a solution that I can pass across to you.

That would be great ash... Thanks alot. I'll let you know if it comes back to life in the meantime. I'm totally sure the update was finished etc, as the machine powered itself down.

Anyways, hopefully can manage to sort it.

apologies for the delay getting back to you guys..

Unfortunately without seeing your machine it's a little difficult to tell you exactly what's the issue - have you tried to do a firmware upgrade yet?

Have a look here for the latest firmware..
