Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Check out Paul Devenny in Warrenpoint. http://www.fightingways.com/wpmu/ You can also find him here on facebook. http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100000727646069

I used to travel up to him every Saturday from Blanchardstown leaving at 6am and getting back at 6pm. (No car so a combination of buses, trains and taxis) Anyway it was well worth the effort.

Alternatively 45 mins in a car will get you to Belfast. http://www.wingtsun-ni.com/

    Regards,

    Michael

I don't know how you are fixed for transport, but if you don't mind a drive I would recommend you contact Niall Keane who teaches in Navan Co. Meath. I know he teaches one on one as well as a Sanshou class on Saturdays (all levels welcome).
He has won several international competitions himself, and a number of his students have gone onto winning British Open etc. this is just to say that his style is very effective, but check out his website for yourself:

From a self defense point of view; I'd say go join a club where you have the option to spar for real, rather then just take a few private lessons from an instructor.

For self defence training, a group class is best. You need to have physical consistent interaction with different people / shapes / sizes. One-on-one is great for fitness training, but there's only so much you can do with only an instructor and no fellow trainees to work with.
