Its cold, dark and frost is all over the ground. Are there any easy to maintain plants that I can tend to over the winter?

Cornus also coming in green, orange, red and black stemmed cultivars

Winter is the time for relaxation because plants will not be growing

    Try growing some food.
Winter onions like radar will be ready by late may/june.
Garlic goes in the ground now for harvest later next year

Kales like Tosca Nero and Red Russian are edible and ornamental
I just started forcing endive, so thats an experiment.

Johnstown garden centre do a good range of winter veg and plants.
