Actual his mother was Irish, she was a lynch. Not sure where she was from.

    Great-grandmother

I had it as great-father but the closest Irish relation to Che is his great-grandmother. She's the Lynch.

    Michael J Fox - Micháel G Sionnach

(Interesting Michael J Fox trivia - the J doesn't stand for anything. When he registered with the Screen Actors Guild there was already a Michael Fox so he put a J in the middle. Isn't that fascinating - the things you learn each day :P)

Vehc a brog (Son of the shoemaker) was a cobbler back in the 16th century. So good was he and so far had his fame spread that he was engaged to make shoes for the King of England. He promptly put a sign up saying 'Cobblers to the King'. Some British army forces thought he was insulting the King and he was expelled to Russia. The shoemaker decided to change his name to cover up his past and spelled his name backwards to give him his new name 'Gorbachev'.

Aut Even in Kilkenny - was surprised when I saw that spelling on the tv news at 9pm tonight; I had assumed from listening to the radio that it was spelt in the meaningful Áit Aoibhinn (enchanting/beautiful place). Never underestimate the cultural benightedness in the darker regions of this ancient land.
