    Moved to UL.

If no one from UL gets back to you then, if you like, the thread can be moved back to Bands & Musicians and we can edit the thread title to reflect the Limerick area.

What bands are you into? I've been dying to get into a proper band since I've started. I play bass for an acoustic group but I've been meaning to get into something else as well.

That works. I can play guitar, bass, or keys, or bits and bobs of anything else. I'm up for having a jam, maybe we can get a drummer or something sorted. This is what I'd be aiming for personally but I'm happy as long as we can make something that sounds good. I'm a first year too :)

My only gripe with the music soc is how solely focused they are on just rock music. I was really hoping there would be more of an electronic scene. I guess the DJ soc would be a better place to look there. (And I'm not talking generic club music, good proper electronic music.)

you do have a point i guess its mostly rock bands formed in it but it's not as if its resisted by the society a band could play anything from country to dubstep and the society would have them in gigs

Only issue there is that I don't own a bass. Think outside the box, I could do an -1 octave guitar or bass synth. Something a bit different, you know?

Oh god no! Totally don't want to go down that route haha. I was thinking more Battles or something. I've got a keyboard which I normally use as a MIDI controller for Ableton. Lots of great sounds.

    Hey Foggy, you need keys?

  • Registered Users Posts: 369 ✭✭Nockz

Someone say keys? Lol. Must be a lot more than I thought :p I'm self taught for about 5-6 years now and have a taste in music a bit on the other end of the spectrum to you guys :p

Just thought I'd show some keys lovin' in here.
