Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That is Garda policy and is standard on all monitored alarms.
The thing is to cover all ground floor and accessible points of entry with sensors and contacts. And then install a couple of PiRs to verify alarms.
With wireless now its much easier to fit extra PiRs and internal doors if you want verified alarms as early as possible.

Have a look at the PSA website for local installers as all installers have to be registered. Always best to get them out to survey the premises plus get a few quotes comparing components which they would be intending to install.

Pros of a monitored alarm is in the event of an emergency the correct people will be called.
Cons keyholders must attend to allow Garda access to the property in the event of a verified alarm, otherwise they wont attend.
