Went to Clarion for lunch there, and sitting beside Dean Ambrose.

    Better than most lunchtimes.

Do you have to be staying in the hotel to stand inside? I strolled past and saw loads of people.

cena on twitter said last night he was heading to dublin

The Shield were very nice at the meet n greet today! Rollins especially, he was very chatty. Have a WrestleMania 29 jersey signed by a good few wrestlers and when he seen Bobby Heenan on it he was like I call signing beside Heenan to the other two. Had Reigns sign beside his dads signature and Ambrose sign beside Mark Henry.

Had a friend with me who managed to get a couple of sneaky pictures..

    PWTorch:
WWE top star John Cena is scheduled to join WWE's European Tour on Thursday. WWE has one show on Thursday - the first crew is traveling to Dublin, Ireland while the domestic crew is traveling to Europe to begin on Friday

Advertised for the O2 in Dublin is a double main event of Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio for the World Title and Randy Orton vs. Big Show for the WWE Title.

Also advertised are The Shield, Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Wade Barrett, Divas champion A.J. Lee, and Natalya.

Seen a good few of the wrestlers getting onto the bus outside the Clarion....even Finlay. Good crowd here. Even though we are in block p, we have a great view. Might try lower tier the next time.

    hello everyone!

First time poster just had a quick q dunno if this is the right place for it but herself got me tickets for the raw taping in Manchester next monday I was wondering what can I expect at it i.e. in terms of dark matches or what time to arrive at etc or has anyone ever been to a taping before ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,013 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

Welcome to PW boards! Your ticket should say what time doors are, like 6:30. There will likely be one dark match to get people into their seats. When I was at Raw a while back they had to re-do the intro a few times (as they weren't happy with the crowd response!) as its a taped show. The biggest weird thing besides watching vignettes on the titantron (and not hearing commentary) is the ad breaks. Production shuts down for a few minutes every 15m! Anyway it's usually a really solid show with lots of talent so you're in for a great night. There might be a dark match after the broadcast finishes as well!

Hey, I was at the Raw taping last April in London and I'm going on Monday too. It's a lot different from the house shows. The crowd was great and I'm sure the Manchester crowd will be just as good if not better! Defo more Fandangoing and the crowd got a loud chant for Scott Armstrong and the camerman during the break biggrin.png There was no dark matches from what I can remember but Superstars was on beforehand. Think it lasted under an hour. We started queuing a little after the doors opened and it was pretty humongous so I'd advice to queue up early if you want to see Superstars too. Where are you sitting?

    Extremly dissapointed at tonights show
Didnt seem like the guys enjoyed putting on the show, nor did they have much fun with the crowd like most other house shows, exception being Santino that is.
    Best match was Ziggler/Sandow
Worst thing was NO Punk, NO Bryan and no CESSARO?

    Feel extremly ripped off :O

I enjoyed it. used to low match quality. take pleasure in other things.

Dear idiot who threw a bottle at Wade Barrett. hope you enjoyed being booted from the arena. your little strop amused me.

    On bus home now
    will write up more latter.

Someone threw a bottle at Wade? Sounds like the tosser deserved to get booted out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39 BlahBlahOhYeah

Roman offered to warm up my cold hands, and followed through on the offer - super sweet guy (he'll definitely be a babyface soon!). Seth was very chatty and answered a few questions. Dean was really shy, didn't really look me in the eye, and mumbled a lot, but I love him, so was delighted to get to meet him. It was over really quickly, but managed to get a few snaps.

The show was good, but the energy felt a bit weird at times. Whoever threw the bottle at Barrett was a complete idiot.

    El Torito is a legend!

How much are tickets for taped shows? Interested in going to next show in uk if affordable,

Loved the show, Shield did their entrance beside my seats!!!! Loved fandangoing, and wade barret saying god save the queen, perfect heel tactic.

Only disappointment, no cesaro. Oh and that idiot throwing something at Barrett, delighted he was kicked out

Alright where do I start, this is going to be a long one...

Had an anatomy practical exam at 2pm, accounts for 0.8% so it was literally nothing, I got a B so that was totally fine with me haha xD.. I ran to the locker, put my running shoes on and started running from Stephens Green to Smyths and thank GOD I made it !! The Shield were just amazing !! They were absolutely nice especially Reigns. Rollins was very engaging and Dean was just Dean haha he was nice too. It was totally worth all the running. I've been so lucky to meet Daniel Bryan, AJ and now The Shield !
We then got lunch, chilled at the apartment a little bit and Hashtag_Heel told me there were staying in Clarion so we decided to head there. We almost got a picture with Big E which by the way put his headphone on and started walking on the street like a bad-ass hahaha xD We saw most of the wrestlers as they were coming out.

The O2: Got there at 6, got my Shield and DB shirts !! Show started on time and first match is SHIELD vs Big E, Goldust and Cody Rhodes. Highlight of the whole show was Roman Reigns falling over as he was trying to jump into the ring and the crowd started to chant "You fell over" and everyone was laughing included the lads in the ring. As the night progressed we tried to chant a whole lots of chants but unfortunately only few people were helping. Me and Hashtag_Heel were sitting on H22,23 BlockB. Big shout out to the three lads sitting in the tiered seats especially the one was giving his number to Aksana... Also the guys three seats on our left and the guy in front of with TNA shirt, and with the ziggler shirt... We had a wonderful time. My only complaint is the lack of chants.

Overall wonderful experience and I hope I can attend a WM and a RAW after WM to experience a red hot international fans :) Pictures of the signing coming soon

To anyone beside me during that show I apologize. I had a total heel turn, total pro Del Rio which went completely against anybody under the age of 15 around my general area. Have to admit, I had so much fun in doing said heel turn, and even got a lot of high-fives from many mums/dads after saying I had made their kids night! Sorry if I annoyed any marks though haha!!

I was a few rows behind them, and as funny as they were, I'd say it would have been a nightmare to be behind them; in the latter parts of the night, they were constantly standing and blocking the views of the kids behind them :(

Anyway, yeah, someone threw a bottle at Wade. He came out and cut a promo about
Ireland being knocked out of the world cup. He took off his shirt and was wearing an England jersey
. Next thing, a full looking bottle went sailing accross the ring, missed him and out the other side. Hit the railings right beside Justin Roberts; was lucky, cause a foot right and it would have hit him and a foot higher and it would have brained a kid. Saw security escorting the guy who threw it out. Good riddence; some people forget its a show and he's a character.

Overall, thought it was a good show. Placing the Rhodes Dynasty/Big E vs The Shield match as the opener was idiotic, cause it was awesome and killed the crowd for the next three matches.

Hahaha... I think it's mandatory for people to show their enthusiasm and preferences as long as they're not annoying other people or disrespecting them. You paid for a ticket so you have to make the best out of it ! I applaud everyone who chanted their throats out and showed their appreciation the wrestlers. In my opinion, the only insult to these guys when you sit on your seat silently but hey that's just me :)
