Recommend a video card?

Hi all, I would like to buy a descent video card for some occasional gaming, CODMW3, BF3 etc. My max budget is around €150. What would you guys recommend? I currently have an Powercolor ATI Radeon HD4850 OC 1GB DDR3 graphics card and it doesn't seem to do the job anymore:(

Well I've never seen something like that before but it seems legit. It says it can provide 37A on the +12V rail so if thats true then it will work. But if your computer is running the 4850 you don't need that much extra for the 6870. Whats your PSU?

The 6850 ought to do you fine if you aren't planning to go over 1680x1050 and have a decent quad core.

@ deconduo, I was running the 4850 in an older core2duo pc with a 600w psu. I have a new HP DC8200 PC that I will be putting the 6870 into, its psu is only 320w and cannot be easily upgraded so that is why I am looking at getting the supplementary one from newegg to power the video card.


@partyatmygaff, I have a core i5 so it should do the job


One other thing lads, do newegg ship internationally? Has anyone ever bought from them and are they good to deal with?

The last time I checked newegg only delivered in the US (and maybe Canada). I built a computer with parts ordered from them once and got a relative to post the stuff over. They were very good to deal with - real pity they don't deliver here to be honest.

Except if they did, they wouldn't be anywhere near as cheap. You quite handily avoided customs tax; this wouldn't happen if Egg decides to officially ship internationally.
