Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yup. Go to settings - general - keyboard - international keyboards - add new keyboard - emoji. This will bring up a globe in your message screen and you click this to enter a smiley :)

Do you not have to download the emoji app first?

It's part of the iOS5 firmware, so it will be built in to any device using that software

Do smileys only work if the recipient is an iPhone user?

And the other thing to be careful with them is that they take up a block of characters when used in a text so instead of 160 characters you get about 70, so a carefully measured 159 character text will actually get charged as three texts. Not an issue on whatsapp or iMessage of course.

Yeah noticed that, but at the same time, if you are writign out a long msg, trying to save characters so its one message, you won't be using smiles, at least I wont.

Turn on character count if you are using the smilie keyboard
