    Hi there

    Ordered new line over 6 weeks ago. Eventually contractor had to run new cable which was installed and in place. Tried few times to get update on when will be activated but no update.
    Can some one please advise.:confused:

    ok guys guys i have a an eircom router connected to my laptop and xbox 360 for on line the router goes down quiet often with the red light, im just wondering is the router faulty and with my xbox connected to it it disconnects me from the xbox live every 2 to 3 hours

    do ye know what problem may be ?

    Hi mark was just wondering could you double check because
    always had 1mb internet until cancelled with eircom for few months
    and signed up again the only difference was that i was sent a different
    router to the previous one i had the current one is a black zyxel not
    100% percent of spelling and the old one was a netopia router there
    may be conflict between current router and xbox 360 on live

    Hi Darragh,

    I double checked and you are defiantly on the 1MB broadband package. At the moment the Zyxel is the only router eircom supply so it sent out as part of any new broadband order.

    ok thanks a million mark for the assistance i will try upgrade my package to a 3mb package and see if that makes a difference

    Hi mark, darragh here again relating to the issue with zxyle router i am still having same problem with online gaming i am just wondering could you help me i need to know which ports i need to open to for the online gaming as i have updated my internet to a 3mb and im still having same problem it is i have been told it is the new firmware version that may be the cause of this
