Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I tried to get into politics for a while but with this countries record and how its going I just dont give 2 ****s when I hear more news about the crap that goes on. I just sigh and continue on doing whatever. And its probably this attitude thats the problem with many of us, but I have heard that a million times too and its not going to change. What a joke of a country we are. A lot of people I know agree. I feel almost ashamed.

Im expecting a hail of corrections and abuse to be honest. Im sure if you trawl through my posts you could find many contradicting comments by me. maybe. Also, Im only 19 so what do I know  maybe Ill come to care some day but it doesn't seem like trying with Irish politics will do much.

It was all an illusion and it's time to reap what was sown. I didn't take the piss money-wise but I still got to enjoy the benefits of living here, so things are the way they are, and unfortunately it's time to take some responsibility. Not saying we're all to blame - that's rubbish - but we got those few years in fantasy land, now it's back to earth and we've got to face up to it.

Is this meant to be ironic? I just caught a couple of posts from you recently getting irate about how we as a nation and our failings are lumped into the "we" bracket as opposed to the "I". As for fantasy land etc surely this comment is lost on me.
I'm somewhere in the middle - I hate all the "we are all to blame" sh1t but at the same time, we got to enjoy the benefits of living here when times were good. But we all have differing degrees of responsibility - that's why I hate when there's such a hard-on for equal collective responsibility. Ordinary person is not = Sean Fitz.
As for fantasy land - well the boom was built on sand...

He was joking. Don't you think there's a difference between the OP's rant attacking ordinary people and proposing no solution, and actually taking a stand?

And no, not everyone had it easy before things crashed, but living here: there were more jobs, things were generally easier.

very true but my point is this 'extravagance' is a mystery to alot of people so its doubly upsetting when we're paying for the boom times we never had.

rant over-wont get any sympathy in AH!

Precisely :) If we were in the UAE for example, each and every one of our houses would have been raided for one of three reasons:
    1. Bad mouthing the government
    2. Discussing retaliation against the state
    3. Promoting abandonment of debt and country

Sometimes reiterating might work. Especially in a meandering thread like this. The main point was broached ephemerally. Then there was some Nazi grammar commotion. Then there was subtext on qualifying Autism. Then there was your condescension. There surely is more to come. Loaded with smileys from you as well:pac::pac::pac:

Please link me to a thread where somebody faked autism or used autism as an excuse for their behaviour because I have never seen it. I really hope you are a young teen that hasn't copped on to the fact that you need to think before you type. You cannot throw around disabilities in an effort to win your arguments, that is ignorant and will make you look foolish.

yes but if you took a closer you will see that the user to which you replied stated the they were no longer interested in this thread and were leaving which they did so your reiterating is thus pointless and is addining to the heaps of pointlessness in this thread :)

What do smileys have an adverse effect on you? :)

People who are skeptical (with no concrete reasoning) about dyslexia and autism strike me as folk who resent what they perceive as others getting special treatment.

Fought the changes necessary for reform because they were comfy with the paychecks they were getting and unlike the average person who had to take cuts, the nurses decided they were having none of it

As for an Garda Siochana they aren't even a proper police force with ease that gang members have of taking them out because they are ill equipped and the amount of scumbags that seem to be able to walk onto the force without any hassle at all is sickening

Its a disgrace that in 2011, nearly 65 years after the man who spoke those words died, the ordinary Irish people are still on their knees, with the failures of the elite on their backs, keeping them down.

If it makes you angry you need to make your voice heard, don't leave it to others, and ignore the dicks who will slag you off for speaking up.
