Thought it might be a good idea to set up a thread dedicated to latest satellite and radar imagery. Sometimes images get lost in other threads and it may be useful to track an image from a certain date via this thread.

That linear cloud is just jet fibre, caused by a strong little westerly jet streak of over 100 knots that was over the south at the time, moving northeastwards. The 12Z Valentia sounding measured 103 knots at 279 hPa (9.56 km).

Snow can be seen lying over much of Connacht, Ulster and eastern parts of Leinster. The large shower clouds over the SE of the country brought plenty of thunder and lightning to eastern areas earlier that morning:
