Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Getting in early this time, as I will be soon flying around to the world to visit the home of Skanger Celtic Tiger Waterford Crystal Guinness ummmm ..... Where most of you lot are!

    The next POTW is "Mellow Yellow in Lahinch" by Btwndeyes. For me it evokes images of baby turtles making their way to the Sea. Love so much about this shot. Well done.

    Love that surf board shot. It's one of the best I've seen here in quite a while. Think I said so at the time in the thread even though I wasn't supposed to. ;)

    I love surfing, only a beginner but i just love it, and I'm part of a club in L.I.T that does surfing and other outdoor activities. On this day I was sick so I couldn't surf but I went anyway just to be there with everyone and capture some shots. They were all walking down as you can see and I realized as CabanSail mentioned it was like the surfers walk home, so i just took a quick shot and it came out a lot better then i imagined. The Photoshop and name came from the surreal calmness on the beach that morning and due to a horrible dull day the colour's of the boards were all that stood out on the beach

    Lightbulb Moment!

    It just came to me where I had seen something like this before. There was a TV advert in Australia over 20 years ago. I cannot remember what it was selling but probably a Soft Drink of Flavoured Milk etc. Maybe it was some sort of Surf Clothing .... who knows.

    IIRC it was animated and showed eggs cracking and hatching. Out of these eggs emerged small Sufer Dudes, complete with Boards and they instinctively made their way down the beach towards the Break. Now to see if I can find it online.

    Pity about the date, my christmas party is on that night,
    But Its a great idea and fair play to all involved, Hopefully I will be able to get involved next year, the Photography Forum is definately the most welcoming and enjoyable on boards.
