Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

controlling blu ray player remotely thru magic eye

    Hi All,

I am trying to set up my samsung blu ray player with my tv so I can control the player remotely using a magic eye. The tv and blu ray player are connected via HDMI (using cat5 and baluns due to distance), all working fine.

I also have a triax tri link but can't seem to make it work.

This is the last step as I have my sky box in my utility working remotely via magic eye already. I need a leg up on the last hurdle please.

Its not possible , the sky box has the facility to accept remote commands over the RF2 output via magic eye , Samsung Blu ray players , or indeed any blu ray players , do not.

There is a function over HDMI called CEC , which may work for you if TV is a samsung as well.

CEC on Samsung devices is called "anynet" , if both devices are samsung , activate this feature , and you should get some kind of control over the BD player from the TV.

Hi, I can control my samsung blueray player through my samsung tv remote using anynet as you mention. Is it possible to get different CEC to work together, for instance, samsung bluray to work with a sony bravia tv?
