best monitor for arcade machine

    Just wondering would i be better off getting a crt monitor/ or an old tft for a self build arcade machine. Seen a cheap 19 "tft but it had only had 16m/s, is that enough?

    Any what kind of specs does mame run on comfortable?? will i need a case or can i just screw the thing together inside the cabinet,
