    Do something with the Metro layout. Seriously. Way too easy to end up spawn camped, on either side tbh. Have destructible walls or floors so you can create a new way out or something. Would be a nightmare to programme but at the moment, that map is a joke. Every stair case has someone spamming RPGs, M320, grenades, USAS etc.

    Yeah metro's a great killzone but it's no fun when stuck in spawn. It's like most of the rush maps, too bloody narrow. don't like rush at all in BF3.

    My biggest hate is those frakking morons who pick the same perk as someone else in the squad....
    For fúck's sake...you can see your squadmates perks when you join so why on earth would you pick the same perk? Bloody noobs...

    Worst ever was I was in a squad on a tank map where my other 3 squad mates all have the explosive perk...and no way would any of them change...so I switched teams and went sniper and picked them off every time they popped out to shoot a tank...:mad:

    I'm probably guilty of this, buy my excuse, probably like a lot of others, would be that I don't bother to check or change the weapons on my classes really anymore. They're nearly set in stone now, aside from 1 or 2 where I might change from a MG to a shotty. But I won't be lookin at squad perks for every single server I join and every squad :P

    Same here,I'm not going to be using something I'm not comfortable with or not bothered with just because someone else is using my preferred set up.

    I just switch Expl and Ammo are the best 2 , once the squad has them its fine.

    Be nice if we could edit this loadouts in workBattelog when we have free time then have them ready to select from in game.

    Lads, is it just me or do "Appearance" settings not stick on the PC? I keep setting my appearance to "Spec Ops" and every time I join a new game it's back to "Default Camo". Very irritating. Is there any way to fix this?

    Sprint +Suppression are also very important.
    Sprint especially for engineers which allows them to quickly flank armor etc..
    Suppression is fantastic for maps like Seine, Metro, Sharqi etc...

    Ideally you want your squad to have Explosive/Sprint/Ammo/Suppr which gives you a nice balance.
    I'm one of these guys who'll always check the perks of my team mates and adjust as required since they give you a huge advantage...

    Damn right...I mean how frakking hard is it to look beside your minimap and see your squad there with the perks beside it..and then readjust the next time you die?

    Squad specialisations are game changers. The difference between having Flak and Cover perks and not having them on Métro and Grand Bazaar is crazy.

    I don't believe anybody who dismisses something which takes 2 seconds to change on the deploy screen can fully understand how useful the defensive perks are when facing frag USAS-12s and M320s.

    It's very frustrating to see three or four Explosive symbols on a squad of engineers, it's made me decide to change squad in the past.

    I think the UI would be better if the loadouts didn't store the specialisations - i.e. if you could only select one perk, so after you pick your class a window could come up, maybe showing what your squad already has, and ask which perk you want right now.

    Spent the last round I played on Oman confined to the aircraft carrier. We couldn't defend/retake positions on the map because regardless of whether we went by jet, chopper or boat the whole team couldn't get more than 30ft from the spawn.

    On another note, has anyone any tips on using flares in choppers? When I fire heatseekers at other choppers, they pop flares and fly off no problem. When I pop flares, there's the audio indicator that they've fired off and then bang!, I'm hurtling towards the ground in a heap of burning metal.

    I'm waiting for the rapid beeping that warns you the missiles are airborne but it has no effect whatsoever.

    The rapid beeping just means it's trying to lock on, its the dull single tone beep that means it's been launched, usually if you don't pop flares there and then its too late.

    And javelins are just about inescapable no matter what you do. best thing to do is the moment you see a red laser indicative of a soflam on the ground, screw everything else, It is your #1 priority to destroy.

    @ zomg okay, and Jaafa, I may be wrong, but i think it's

    slow beeping tone is you're being locked on by stinger.
    rapid beeping tone is that stinger has been fired. (the second you hear this use flares)
    continous tone is that you're being laser designated by soflam. (either fly behind something very quickly, use ECM flares, or shoot the utter shit out of the soflam if you see it.) there is no warning to tell you if a javelin has been fired yet though.

    It's so cheap, and unrealistic.
    I know you could argue that mines should disappear too, but the C4 has a remote which is unique.

    What they should focus on is something - ANYTHING - to make base rape impossible. I don't know, something like you can't do or take damage from inside your uncap.

    100% agree, its complete BS and my number one problem with the game :mad:
    A computer controlled AA gun and some proper spawn points with cover at each base would solve most of it.

    So I buy the game last week and it won't even let me bloody join any servers! I'm sure I could have something about the gameplay to moan and bitch about but I can't even get that far to begin with. Hate to do it but I think it's time for a trade in. :mad:

    If Quick Match isn't working, try the Server Browser. Usually does the trick for me.

    Since there's a boundary for foot mobiles, it's only air support that needs to be fixed. All that's necessary then is for the guns on helis and jets to be disabled when in out of bounds airspace.

    This still enables a team to steal vehicles, but to do so would be a major risk.

    Can't take or deal damage would be better - if guys inside can't do damage outwards, I can stop worrying about people hiding in their uncaps with mortars. :P

    I've no experience at all with programming, so I don't know if this can be implemented easily or not but if it were up to me:

    -Any shots fired into or out of an uncap would have no damage potential.
    -Lasers and heatseekers won't lock onto vehicles in an uncap and lasers and heatseekers in an uncap won't lock onto vehicles outside.
    -If you leave an uncap, returning in the same life doesn't grant immunity (this way, a guy can't fly back into his uncap as an easy means of defeating a missile.)
    -Maps were the uncap isn't out-of-bounds to enemy infantry (I know from painful experience that one of the uncaps on Oman for the console is not out-of-bounds) would become out-of-bounds.
    -You could spawn into stationary AA.
    -As a side note, frag rounds and the FAMAS would be nerfed.

    It would be easy for them to implement. It was in BF2 if I remember correctly.
    Choppers would get a Out of Map timer if they went into the uncap, however in BF3 there borders are huge and they can happily fly over uncaps or outside the standard map.

    Another thing BF2 did on some servers if I remember correctly, was reflective damage inside the uncap, whereby if you shot someone inside their uncap you took the damage.

    Anything / everything in the uncap should be offlimits as people have posted, but as others have posted, it should not be a safe haven and no damage should be allowed to be dealt from within it.

    Totally agree i've lost count the amount of times i've ran into an uncap to take out a mortar or javelin guys who's been there most of a round. If there was some sort of invulnerability you'd have people taking the piss. I heard a tank gunner once tell the driver to reverse back to the uncap(they were just at the hill before e on seine) as they can't be hit there. That really annoyed me.

    Is there anyway to stop fcukers from flying in and robbing your teams jets and helis? I only ask because I was unfortunate enough to quick join a conquest game on Firestorm and the other team had my teams 2 jets, attack heli and transport heli. Jumped into the AA as soon as I could but couldn't really do much damage in the little time that was left.

    Only by having a decent air crew yourself , or people willing to soflam/javelin or use Stinger.
    There is no setting within the game stopping them from doing it.

    That kind of dickery happens a lot more on console than on PC I find.

    The person in that video made no good points, in fact as soon as he said i run and gun all his points where invalid.

    Run and gun isn't battlefield that's cod (Not trying to bring bf vs cod into it) but battlefield just isn't a run and gun game that's why he cant get rush and conquest as he said himself lol
