Job Bridge Internship - Rent Allowance Contribution

My mam is in receipt of rent allowance and because I live with her at the moment and am in receipt of JSA I have to contribute €24 each week towards the rent. I am starting a Job Bridge Internship in two weeks and was wondering if anyone knows if I will still have to pay this contribution or if I will have to pay the same amount or perhaps even more while I am partaking in the internship?

Rent Supplement is not affected by JobBridge payment. Your contribution to the rent will remain the same.

You will keep your social welfare payment and you will get an internship allowance of €50 per week. You will also keep any secondary benefits that you have when you take up an internship.

3. Will participants keep their secondary benefits (e.g. medical card, rent supplement, mortgage interest supplement, fuel allowance, etc) while participating in JobBridge?

Yes, participants will keep any additional benefits that they were receiving immediately prior to taking up an internship.
