Reading and leeds festivals are annoucning there first headliner in the morning at 8am with the original Guns N Roses being tipped for it (which seems very very unlikly) but i have heard Bruces name being mentioned as the headliner

If this is true a possible Irish date may be on the horizon

Bruce is a bit random for Reading/Leeds but would mean a tour is coming. Could see Bruce for EP?

I don't think Springsteen really does festivals, not many anyway.

I think I saw something a few years back but it was more like a slane thing than a festival, i.e. he was doing his usual mega long set with a few support acts earlier on. I think gaslight anthem played earlier and came on later with him.

Glasto/PinkPop/Isle of Wight/Rock in Rio.......he did many festivals a couple of years ago, and as a result got thousands of new, younger fans.
Which of course, was the point.

I really enjoyed it. Some lovely acoustic versions of the songs. It may be all the Bruce we're getting for some time.

Rumours stronger now about shows that at any point in years. What gives?

And now writer Stan Goldstein — who runs the Springsteen fan blog NJ.com and is the author of the book Rock and Roll Tour of the Jersey Shore – is chiming in. “Look for Bruce to announce dates for a two- to three-month E Street Band tour that will start sometime in December,” he said in a new post.

I think it's the fact Stan Goldsein said it. He's what the tabloids would call an 'insider' :P

They got their Bruce documentary ttles mixed up but looking at the detail it is 'The Ties that Bind' and not 'The Promise'

It seems an arena in NJ had this up earlier by mistake.

Haha I'm with you mate - no one is truly in the know but there are devotees that have a good track record on the ground in jersey.

    - unlikely aspect of bringing The River Tour to Europe, no mention of it whatsoever in press releases
    - new solo album in the can due out (?!?) Autumn of 2016
    - a six-month contractual gap between releases
    - Bruce's kid at the Olympics next summer

Lot of work for band/crew to be playing to scutty venues like the 3 Arena.

I will be looking for tickets next Friday, would rather MSG but anywhere would be great.

its not that bad of a venue in fairness. if u2 and adele can sell out the arena not doubt Bruce will. If they do play ireland i hope its not 17th June (ill be in manchester at the stone roses) or the same day as a Waterford gaa or Irish soccer match
