    Door open at 5.
    Show starts at 7.

    Don't be late :)

So to confirm.....we are ok to enter via the Simmonscourt gate even if our ticket says Merrion Road?

I believe the only way into the pit is via Simmonscourt?

Bruce don't do support unless it's an all day festival.

    You forgot "viagra takin'"!!

If hes on before 7.30 it'll be well over 3 hours. No way hes finishing for 10.30.

What time is the curfew in the RDS on a weekday?

Ha - you should hear me when I've a few drinks in me, it's about 3 chapters long!

Not sure about curfew, 11 at the weekend I seem to recall but this time could be different.

Fair play to the Spaniards and many others I'm sure who are outside the RDS already, tough weather for it.

Hyde Park was an amazing gig. The end was a shame but the rest of the day was class. We were about eight rows from the front. Tom Morello was a beast on the guitar and the Ghost of Tom Joad was a highlight for me.

Pity he got cut off. He was just about to do 10th Avenue Freeze Out.

Gonna be 2 wet days/nights. Queing will be miserable I'd say.

Can't wait for Tower tonight :D

Is it possible to get into the pit with a seated ticket, or is it for standing tickets only? Also whats the story on cameras etc?

Enjoy tonight and take photos! Conserving my energy for the next 2 days (as sick with an neverending flu) so decided against a trip to the capital tonight. I will be wearing 100% waterproof gear from head to toe as never want the soaking like I got in 09 again and will be on the hunt for a cover for my camera too so then it can rain all it likes ;)

    I will don't worry :)
I'll be the same for Tues/Wed with the rain gear, That was horrible in 09. RTE weather on the radio just said some sunny spells over Leinster tomorrow with temps reaching 22 Degrees.

Do ppl think the rds will mucky? Wellies required?

  • Registered Users Posts: 85 ✭✭whadafook

Wouldn't expect it to be muddy - there's no need to cross grass accessing the areana

    Really?

Ok, for the LAST time - Bruce Springsteen does not have support at his own gigs. 3.5hrs is enough.

I sometimes wonder if people are just asking to rip the proverbial. :)

Any half decent place will be rammed on Gig day

Yea was thinking that , if we got there for 4 pm would it be better of eating/drinking in town and getting the bus to the RDS or take a chance around the RDS at 4pm

There is a new pub across the road from the RDS which does great food. we went there last year for Bon Jovi and while it was busy we did get seats as it was big. I can't remember the name of it now. I'd recommend if you are coming from the city get the Dart as traffic might be manic. Get off at Sandymount and it is only a few minutes of a walk

Yea think we are gonna chance getting the 7 bus out (but if it gets too slow , we will just hop off and walk ) . Can you remember which side the pub was to the RDS? or is it beside where the rest of them are. Cheers

You're just so rock and roll! :p

If it won't let the water in, then it won't let the sweat out. Do you want to be soaked in sweat or rainwater?

Actually, the forecast http://www.met.ie/forecasts/5day-ireland.asp is reasonably clear for both evenings. Could still be fairly mucky underfoot - remember the Dodder runs close by!
