Cheap phone for texting and calling sim free

Hi all

My missus is paying over €50 a month with Vodafone - I want to move her over to the Meteor €15 a month deal that is on special on their website, see here http://www.meteor.ie/bill-pay/

Problem is her phone is busto - she doesn't use internet and just wants a simple to use phone that will call and text and be reliable akin to the the old nokia's.

try having a look on www.adverts.ie - might be a decent secondhand bargain.

thanks i think she was hoping for something first hand unfortunately - i know from experience how good adverts is

If she's paying that much to Voda, then she should be able to get her current phone unlocked for free by Voda. If its bunched, Tesco carry a range of sim-free phones that might be suitable.

thanks kristopherus - how would she go about unlocking her phone, call vodafone customer service and ask for an unlock code? her old phone is in bad way but may get her to xmas at least!
