Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,
I have just being given notice that from 30th of this month i will be no longer employed. We lost a big Tender and the new contractor was supposed to take us on as per the TUPE legislation but he is fighting this legally and until it is resolved myself and my colleagues will be on the dole for christmas most likely.

So I would be very grateful if anyone can tell me what I need to do.
I know once i receive my P45 i go to the SW office, I am also filling out a One parent family payment form, anything else?

What do i do with my Mortgage and my loans?? am i covered with my mortgage protection?

    many thanks,

    MM

Check your Mortgage Protections docs. I don't know how they work here, but in the UK, they generally pay out after 6 months unemployment.

Speak to your mortgage provider. Let them know of your situation straight away. They may allow you to pay interest only or even take a payment holiday until you get sorted.

You may also be able to claim something from the State for your mortgage. I'm not sure what it's called, but maybe someone on here might be able to tell you.

Good luck - Hope it all works for you!

Check your loan & mortgage documents to see if you have payment protection. Ours kicked in after 30 days.
