Was this the same Kadette that was used as the getaway car for the kidnappers of Don Tidy in the TV3 documentary ‘Crimes that shook Ireland’

I reckon it was (it had a black and silver reg plate, I just didn’t react quickly enough to try and memorise the reg)

There were MK 2 & 3 escorts as well as a MK1 fiesta that appeared to have original regs as well as a Jaguar XJ with an 83-D- plate

A lot of the archive footage was good too – Datsun Cherry, Ford Granada Garda Cars and Army FJ Land Cruisers

What extras had the Cead have over the normal car and was it much extra to buy.

Also what year were they sold.

    THanks

They were on other Kadetts as well, not sure if they were on anything else sold in Ireland though.

Indeed he did, were they expensive?
Often a good resto is let down by cheap or 'wrong' long plates, they are era perfect!
