I think it's fairly rare and I don't know if it's more a case of individual women feeling less pain or having a higher pain threshold or that variable grey area where pleasure and pain overlap. Some people enjoy hot wax, nipple clamps and whips but I don't think I've ever heard of an SM club specialising in ear infections :D

I don't get how amazing Adele is...ya she writes her own songs but I only like 2 of them... :/

And I like Joe Duffy! not in that kind of way...

Writing their own songs or playing their own instruments doesn't instantly make an artist or band better than someone who doesn't. The songs can still be sh*t.

I know, but shes still well known for writing her own songs...never said it makes someone instantly better than the other.

It's OK to hit a woman if she's asking for it.
What, in a "Oooh I've been a bad girl, are you going to 'punish' me sir?" kind of way?

    Otherwise no.

Yeah, I'm agreeing with you and saying that on top of that, just because you write your own songs, doesn't make you better.

lm giving her credit for writing her own songs, lm not saying it makes her any better than anyone. Im a big Elvis fan & he never wrote one song.

I'm not arguing with you! I'm saying yes, she writes her own songs, but as you say Elvis never wrote any of his songs and they're still all better than Adele's. Writing your own material doesn't make you good.

True a lot of acts in the 50's had stuff written for them. A lot of them did play instruments though, which is part of my criteria for a real musician, obviously this preceded the golden period for acts writing their own stuff in the 60s and 70s. I know I live in the past but I just can't find substance in popular music today, Rihanna and the like.

l'm not either but l never said writing your own material doesn't make you good or better than anyone else. l'm not a big fan of Adele, l'm just giving the woman credit for writing her songs that have made her world famous.

I have no sympathy for fat people. If you're fat and you don't care, that's fine. But if you're fat and complain about it and don't do anything about it, then you need to shut up. Our society has created a 'quick fix' mentality, and nothing irritates me more than people who make excuses and shy away from putting in some honest effort to reach their goals.

Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, and so on. None of them played instruments, but they're all incredible artists.

I'm not saying they're comparable to Rihanna and the likes, but just because they didn't play their own instruments or write their own songs, doesn't make them any less great.

To be honest, the fact that Adele has become so big on the back of her sh*t songs says a lot really. Her songs all sound the same and the lyrics are muck. The only thing she has going for her is a good voice, and at the best of times she sounds like a poor man's Etta James. Don't understand the hype about Adele at all - a less offensive version of Amy Winehouse, in my opinion.

What do you mean by cutting? Who on the UK stand up circuit is seeing people like Louis ck, Bill Burr or Jim Norton. Michael McIntyre? Guns don't kill people, people do. Socialism isn't a dirty word in the US. Have you ever met any Americans in real life?

And I would take from the names you mentioned, but Gaye for instance contributed to his output, the most recognised song he himself formalised was Sexual Healing.

This is probably my naked nostalgia but these acts were the real thing, they were part of the business. It's quite difficult to describe what is currently happening in the industry, as far as I'm concerned they've sailed it down the river with ugly personalities and attitude. To bring it back to Rihanna, she is a a bad tempered broad with limited talent, she doesn't deserve it....It used to mean something to have a number one.

I'd raise the religious question here, as you know, a lot of serial shooters said that God told them to do it. The gun and its availability is probably not the underlying problem.

It's high time all foreigners who are working in Ireland should go home if they don't plan on staying here and setting a family.

Do you mean a tricolour? I'm assuming you're talking about taxis since we haven't yet reached 'crisis point' with the numbers of non national milkmen. You do realise that there's nothing stopping any non national cab driver going into Carrolls Irish souvenirs and getting one as well? Or do you have a quick look in the window at that stage? Who exactly are you doing your bit for?

Applying this logic to "foreigners" would mean that Irish emigrants would have to return to Ireland given that they are foreigners in other countries... So the perception that if all foreigners returned to their own countries would free up jobs in this country is an illusion, usually derived from narrow mindedness....

I cant stand women who talk about nothing but their children. No, its not a sign you love them, Its a sign you have absolutely NO life outside little Timmy or Ailsing and you want to let the world know that by going on and on and on about their little habits, their smiles, your daily routine etc etc. Shut up, nobody cares.

    There's still ways around that.

For instance, don't buy junk food so that there won't be any in the house to eat if you do fall off the wagon.

Also, no eating disorder is preventing them from exercising.

Indeed, the only time this could be an issue is if your still living at home. Wasn't until i moved away from home that i could actually control my diet properly. Without a doubt, that was the biggest factor for me losing weight.
