Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Try wire each window/door separately with a six core cable. Maybe two beams, one upstairs and one downstairs. Six core for the external bell, four core is enough for the internal, locate it in the hall or landing. Eight core in the main bedroom for a keypad/panic. Spare eight core in the attic.

If you wiring from scratch you might as well future proof as much as you can. Add a phone line & a Network cable to freds advice.

If any of the windows upstairs are accessible then inertia/contacts should be fitted.

when you say accessible - accessible how?

By means of access to them, if you need a ladder this would not be deemed as accessible. Flat roof, conservatory, porch, wall, pipes would all allow access.

Probably no need to tell you this but use good quality cable, some of the electrical wholesalers are selling some poor quality cable lately
