CRAGGY-ISLAND MAP VOTE

Seeing as some other modes are becoming popular and to prevent issues with the server lagging/disappearing from Battlelog server I've changed the maplist to the below.

This doesn't mean you'll be playing 6 rounds of TDM/Rush etc in one go.
Conquest will be the default starting point as always and if people fancy a change after a few hours/rounds just call it out and see if most people agree to try a different mode/map and an admin will oblige.

Killcam/3rd person obviously have to be disabled as it's these options that cause the 3rd person bug in Rush and the server to disappear from Battlelog plus causing lag.
Yes whorebags will hate not having an external view but considering whorebags get a gunner, proximity sensors/thermal optics etc there's fear of their hole as my olde fella used to say to me.
And by whorebags I mean armor whores and by armor whores I meant Kittensoft and Astro

Of course if anyone has any objections (barring the named whorebags above) then we can reconsider our options.

Ok...getting some complaints about team balance so have switched back on the end of round balancer to make the rounds more even.
The downside is I think it affects your w/l ratio but the upside is that teams are far more balanced in game and definitely leads to way better games.
The majority of people are happy with this so reinstating it.

Surprisingly it's the jet whores who are complaining about the 3d external view and not the armour whores ...
obviously they're complete noobs as I find the air battles way more intense and exciting without it being on, as it replicates air combat more accurately as you have to use your pov switch. (look around you from the cockpit).

Again we'll leave it upto the majority before deciding...however this means that we would need to remove rush mode and only have it on certain nights as it would involve setting up the configuration correctly to ensure we don't have the 3rd person bug and craggy disappearing from battlelog.

I say leave the rush rounds in with 3rd person turned off, rush can be great especially when the teams are evenly balanced.

Really enjoyed the metro rush game yesterday evening even though I got my ass kicked a number of times by fian & awsome, still won in the end though......

No, you see my M249 takes about 8 bullets to kill, the M16 only takes 2-3 The aimbot does help, although not much yesterday

It's affects random servers...even the xbox/ps3 versions have it...
It's like the red tag issue from BF3....DICE has rolled out 3 patches to resolve it so far and still unable to fix it..

Yep, good idea. Only thing we'd have to make sure that the squad leader is the right person for the job.

That's one of his unlocks , we press 4 as recon and get a spawn beacon he gets a crane . you only get that after committing 150+ hours to recon

Last night was... interesting...
In terms of awfulness the RPG/Repair only round was by far the biggest cluster****, C4/Nade only was actually a bit of fun and Rambo mode was interesting too.

Should do C4 only on a Conquest map instead.

C4 was too messy, spent that round trying to get defib kills instead. I think C4 night needs to be a regular game except have the minimap turned off so motion sensor isn't worth a feck and explosives don't show up. Suicides off might be an option too.

Shotgun only rounds i think are best and must be on seine or nosehairs.

im just after changing from xbox to pc with battlefield, might check this server out, any tips as im not really used to mouse and keyboard or do i just dive in, get slaughtered and learn the hard way

Mechanic should stay the same just get used to mouse and keyboard, once you get used to it the mouse is alot quicker to aquire a target.

thanks for the replies. i might just get on a few ranked servers for a few days to get used to the mouse keyboard and try get on the server next week sometime. another thing, what happens if i dont have karkand when the server moves onto one of the karkand maps?

jesus this is a lot harder to get the hang of than i thought, im getting crucified every game i play. does it get any easier? maybe its just the mouse and keyboard but i cant seem to aim at anyone, i end up spraying bullets everywhere

Controlled bursts are better. It takes a bit of time to get used to the mouse, bear with it.
TF2 would be a great game try too, it's much more forgiving.
