Suitable fuel for a stove...

My Da is after putting in a Stanley 'Cara Insert Stove' into the fireplace in his sitting room. He's very excited, bless him, waiting for the fire cement to go off so he can light it. My question is this; he's after purchasing some of those artificial fire logs to burn in said stove, are these logs suitable or should he only burn proper wood?...

I almost only burn the eco logs in my stove. No problems. I believe you can burn most things (within reason!) in a multifuel stove.

it should say on the packaging if suitable for closed stoves.

My advice is use with care as they, depending on the type, can burn v hot and if he over fills the firebox he could warp it.

Small fire to start to cure the fire cement properly
