I still make my Mammy, Daddy, brother and sister get up at 6:30, creep up to the sitting room in case Santie's still there and open our presents together, even though my sister's 14 and my brother's 24 :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,590 ✭✭✭Pigwidgeon

Deise is not going to be happy she got beaten to this!

    But yay Christmas!!!!

    Mod note:
This thread is for christmassy stuff only. Similar to the x factor and computer games thread there is to be no coming in for the sake of it and giving out. The point of this thread is to keep everything Christmassy in one place so as not to annoy people. So to simply put it, if you don't like Christmas don't read this thread. Anyone who doesn't stick to this will have their posts deleted and repeat offenders will be infracted.

So to sum up, no grinches allowed.

Why would you refuse? IT'S SO MUCH FUN!!

As I already said, if you don't like it don't read the thread. Football fans discuss football before the season begins and nobody complains about that. In doing this we're confining everything to one place.

    This is my final warning.

Yeh so, I was in with the kids in the school today and when ever they were messing we'd say that santa is watching and they'd stop :pac:

We do the same :p they think this motion sensor thing in the corner is where he watches from (they decided that themselves) and they said they could hear his sleigh on the roof when they were eating lunch making sure they were all eating up :pac:

    They're so funny :pac:

When they're going out into the yard they're suppose to be quite and they pass a room where there's decorations stored and they can see in through a window and they're all talking and stuff but as soon as they see that room they go silent :pac:

It IS early, but I'm already looking forward to Christmas. :D Almost 3 weeks off (I think), just chillin' at home catching up with all the old budz and family. Might even make a few bob if I get a job. :')

    Ahh...I love Christmas.

I'm so excited for Christmas. On the second of December, me and my mum are putting up our tree while watching the toy show, then we're going to watch love actually after. :D

And in December sometime I'm having a Christmas party for my friends, we all have to wear christmas jumpers, I'm making loads of food, we'll have christmas music, christmas drinks and games.

Also Christmas FM is launching on the 29th of November this year :)

My mammy has the tins of Quality Street hidden somewhere!
    Looking forward to Christmas :D

Christmas is slightly dampened for me this year as since I'm one of the most recent staff member I'll be getting all the shifts to give the veterans a night off each. celebrations will be at a minimum for me although loadsa monay! . Also a friend who I havent seen for 2 years is coming home and I wont be off any night to see them. still Christmas day should make up for all that. turkey, stuffing, wine and family make all lifes problems irrelevant.

Really he begged and begged me could he do it, and in the Christmas spirit of things I allowed him! I did try and get my view across tho for the intro :P
    Which looks unreal cakes!

    But lads ZOMFGCANTIYLOIKEBELIEVEIT!!!11!!!eleventy!1!!
Its in the 30's till Christmas, I have been counting down since 112. Yes I am that sad. But its just so amazing, the weather is becoming all wintery and you can wear big cozy jumpers and coats and pretty scarves and gloves while sipping away on tea/coffee/hot chocolate/mulled wine/hot beverage of your choice watching like comfort tv that you cant really justify watching in the summer. Its just like the season of comfort, everything is for keeping you cozy :D
Really wish we had 3 weeks off for Christmas tho. Like a week before and a week after coz since school never finishes until the 23r now I dont feel im in the Christmas mood to the extent I could or should be :/ Like Im going from "Aww in in school" *Next morning* "Aww its Christmas eve" Its crazy, and not good. I need in between time to change and prepare.

I have no idea what I just wrote there, but be prepared for similar rambly/nothing to do with anything posts :D

    CHRISTMAS!!!

All the lights are up in my city, like everywhere, and they're not turned on yet. It's such a tease. Although the other night my boyfriend brought me outside at like 3am to show me them putting them all up and they had them all turned on and some lights weren't up yet and they were on the ground and it was so magical! Oooh I love Christmas lights. Although one complaint, it looks like they're all going to be like white lights. I prefer coloured lights. Woo Christmas!

That's the one good thing about my incredibly long days of leaving really early and coming home really late, I've seen them putting up and testing all the decorations and lights in places. I feel so privileged :P

I was thinking, This may be one of the last,if not the last Christmas' in our house that involves Santa. My little brother is nine now so he's gonna find out out in the next year or two or three if he ends up weird :pac:. Twill be strange times indeed.

Here's my favourite Christmas song of the past few years. A long way from Like a Rolling Stone! :pac:

For a somewhat more respectable Christmas album, there's the classic Phil Spector record:

Or She & Him's new Christmas album. *cue Zooey Deschanel love*

Anyway Christmas was pretty shítty for me last year but I'm gonna make sure I enjoy it this year, despite my lack of money. \o/

    YAY CHRISTMAS. :D:D:D:D

It still feels a bit early and I generally think that more than a healthy amount of anticipation kills it, but who cares, CAN'T WAAAAIT.

Ah Christmas...two weeks off school that aren't boring because my whole family is around for most of it...coke for breakfast...yummy food all the way...Christmas movies (featuring my annual watching of Titanic :))...general happy vibes. <3

So excited...:D It's the most wonderful time of the year *sings*

But I need it to snow, I know it's awful in many ways and such but pleaaaase, it's so so pretty. Oh and if I don't feel lovely and Christmassy by the time the X Factor final is on (I felt nothing at all last year...) I will be greatly displeased.

I'd love a white Christmas! I know it messes a lot of things up, but it'd just be so...magical!

I loveeeee christmas. Even if snow does make things difficult. I'm going to Liverpool for it to be with my family, gonna be ****ing mega :D And they're selling Iced minced pies in marks and spencers :D

I do this with my brother and sister too, although they're now 26 and 24! I think being the babóg, I'm expected to believe in Santie for my entire life!

I know it's Christmassy and all but if it snows really badly this year at Christmas I will cry so much. It ruins my life. Christmas is my birthday and I have a very special visitor coming and if airports get shut down I will die.

I can't wait for Christmas cake! My mouth is watering thinking about it. :(

I'm the only person in my family who loves Christmas!! :) I've so many Christmas films recorded (Christmas 24 is on Sky guys.. such a good channel, Christmas movies 24 hours a day.. <3)...

But yeah Christmas is the best! My family have skipped it last year and the same this year though which is ghey but I still love it and forever shalllllll! <3

Ohmigosh I love Christmas so much :D
Though last year I had some weird breakdown because around the 20th of December I realised I still didn't feel excited about Christmas, and I thought I was after loosing the magic of Christmas :O But twas all good, By Christmas Eve I was nice and overexcited :o

I do have a confession though, when I was younger I was scared of Santa :o I would make my dad go into the sitting room first to check that Santa wasn't there, and I guess thats after becoming a habit and now I refuse to go into the room first...just in case... :D

My family loves Christmas and every year we go to someones house and have a big party with all the kids and we do secret santa and my Grandad dresses up as santa and brings all the presents in :D Ahhhh its just such a nice day :D

    Merry Almost-Christmas Everyone!

I can see myself living in this thread for a few weeks........<.<

But literally I'm so excited already, I have to keep it to myself though cos my family and friends think I'm freaks :( That's why I love this thread, we can all be freaks together :D

Does anyone know what they want yet? There's not much I really want, I'll probably just get clothes, make-up and books!
