Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rent Review Form & the recent rule changes?

So, we've been getting RA for years now, 3 years ago we moved from the city to the county and to get RA sorted out for our new house had to register for housing on the County Council housing list (or the Town Council housing list), we choose the County one. But we were still registered for housing on the City Council housing list - have been since 2004.

Now being told that new rules mean you can only be registered on one housing list in the country? For us it makes sense for that to be the City Council one which we've been on for 7 years rather than the County one which we've been on for 3 years. But as we have to complete a rent review form it now says you need to provide documentary evidence from your "local" housing department that you are on their list - so is it now the case that if you have been on a waiting list for lets say 15 years in one place and you move for whatever reason to another place and you need rent allowance that you have then simply lost your place in the que, the que on which you've been for say 15 years? Weird system.

But were you moved from that county list you've been on for years?
If you have I can understand why you lost your place, it is absolutely so frustration how restrictive is it to move with council housing, never mind to a different council I can see how that would be a minefield. Not a great system at all! Because you're in Dublin now how long do you think you'll be waiting?
