xperia play update problem

    Not sure if this is the right thread so please move if it aint. Thanks.

    My xperia play is saying that there is a new system update available(4.0.2.a.0.42). When I go to update it tells me it has to be done using pc companion. When I connect my phone to the laptop an bring up pc companion it says my phone is connected in the top left corner but it wont back up. When I go to update it. It just fails.

    Any help appreciated.

    Reinstall the PC companion. Reboot PC before you connect the Play. SE's PC suite is very fickle. I had to install/"repair" 3x before it worked.
    (not that it makes the Play much better, but that is for another thread).
    By the way: you're sposed to post that in Abdroid forum ;)

    Just got one in Vodafone in Liffey Valley there for my brother for xmas,hes been going mad for 1,the girl serving me told me they got a delivery of them in yesterday and have 10 of them in,minus 1 now :p
