    Seems that last tiny bit of independence we have, to set tax rates is also gone. We have to get German say so for that too.

    That, along with news that Germany is supposedly plotting a move to block referendums, is really starting to get worrying.

    Somebody needs to put them in their place - look what happened the last time Germany started becoming power-mad - the leash needs to be put firmly back on.

    of course they have our budget, they are funding the country ffs. now, in fairness, i would love to tell them to stick their bonds where the sun dont shine but i dont like being poor, so i'll tolerate the kraut b'astards for now. lets stay close to the US though - just in case they do decide to invade when we eventually tell them to f'uck off...
