Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

For more stay with RTE Radio 1!

I hear it, day in, day out, after what seems almost every ad break on RTE. It is played after a particular advert for some event, and the authoritarian voice declaring "For more stay with RTE Radio 1" seems to suggest that more information will be given about this particular event during some programme or other. This never happens.

Anyone else annoyed by this nonsense line being played over and over and over?

"in the current economic climate" always wrecks my head.

    Yes.

It's usually stuck at the end of ads for 'the arts'. I think the advertiser gets a discount.

I'd love to know what 'more' exactly we are supposed to expect? More ads?

I'll give my opinion on this matter in a future post. Check back to this thread to read it.

There are three good reasons not to listen to RTE.

    1, Pat Kenny
    2, Joe Duffy
    3, Ryan Tubridy.

Radio Nova, and my CD player saves me from going insane in my car for 8hr's day.
