Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They did a kinda 'this is your life' for Brendan Grace. RTE presented a gift to him towards the end of the show, a painting of Grafton street.

    WTF?

Public Service Broadcasters should *not* be lavishing gifts of any type on anyone. They're there to broadcast as a public service paid for by license fee payers.

I got the keys to your car and I drove it into a biiiiig wall and if ya don't like it tough cause I've had my fun and thats all that matters.... Thats who Brendan Grace is !

Brendan Grace was funny in Father Ted because he was reading lines someone else had written.

His own material is not funny at all:

If you don't want to watch the clip, and I don't blame you, this is a summary of the 'gags'

    - Chinese people are small
    - "They don't speak english very well" (that's a direct quote from Grace)
    - If customers are drunk, the lack of comprehension becomes even more hilarious

    That's about it.

Terrible painting IMO. Just looked like a few blobs of paint thrown here and there and labelled Grafton Street.

Eh? to be fair he's taking the piss out of us Irish as well. 'Heads tilted up so not to spill the drink' or something along those lines.

    Give over.

I had to laugh, as they moved away from the painting the camera man zoomed in..then out.. and moved away completely.:D

It looked like someone was off their face in Grafton Street one night, and painted what they remembered before someone picked them up off the ground.

Any one remember his Rte show in the eighties?
It used to start as a ****e comedy show and finish as an even ****er quiz show where you could win twenty pounds.
Could have been called the Brendan Grace Show.
    anybody?

    Yeah. Not enough junkies.
More like not enough irish teenagers with american accents mitching from the institute.

yes, and his wig was worse, and RTE squandering money on such " art" to give to someone it gave a free hours commercial to is another.

does anyone watch rte any more ? I doubt it.
