All of your links are broken, might want to fix that.

    The hard drive will work fine (though it's bloody expensive.).

    The only thing that strikes me is that the PSU is way overkill. Get this and save yourself €50.

    Oh, and if you're not getting a third party cooler for your CPU, you won't need the thermal paste either. (though It's always nice to have spare around).

    Yeah I noticed the links were broken. Not sure what the problem is with them to be honest.
    The hard drive is bloody expensive alright but theres not much I can do about that now. They wont be going back down for another while.

    I want to stick with that psu for my own reasons. Aside from everything else do you think it will be all okay?

    If you were trying to use the basket poster, you need the use this:
javascript:var%20before%20=%20'Item|Price';%20var%20after%20=%20'';var%20format='{itm_quantity}{itm_name}|{itm_price}';var%20debug%20=%20false;function%20loadScript(%20url%20){if%20(%20document.getElementById("basket_parser")%20==%20null%20){var%20script%20=%20document.createElement(%20"script"%20);script.setAttribute(%20"id",%20"basket_parser"%20);script.setAttribute(%20"type",%20"text/javascript"%20);script.setAttribute(%20"src",%20url%20+%20"?"%20+%20Math.random()%20*%2010000000%20);document.getElementsByTagName(%20"head"%20)[0].appendChild(%20script%20);setTimeout(%20"loadScript('"%20+%20url%20+%20"')",%20200%20);log(%20"Started%20loading%20script:%20"%20+%20url%20);}else%20if%20(%20typeof(%20init_script%20)%20!=%20'undefined'%20){log(%20"Loaded."%20);init_script();}else{setTimeout(%20"loadScript('"%20+%20url%20+%20"')",%20200%20);log(%20"loading%20..."%20);}}function%20log%20(string){if%20(%20debug%20){document.body.appendChild(%20document.createTextNode(%20string%20)%20);document.body.appendChild(%20document.createElement(%20"br"%20)%20);}}loadScript(%20"http://fluffy88.com/scripts/basket_parser.js" );void( 0 );
If not, just copy the links right out of the address bar for each item.

    Why exactly do you want that PSU? It's completely unnecessary for what you're running.

    No idea why the basket poster script wont work. I changed it to work anyway, but its not ideal.

    I want that psu so it gives me room to expand and upgrade in the future, and I just like having higher watt psu's. It may be unnecessary but its just something I want. Silly reason I guess.

    If you want to add a second 6850, 550W would still be enough. You could get a 600-650W unit if you're unsure, but 850 is still overkill. Sure have a look at my spec. All of that on a 700W unit, and even that's overkill, I could get by with the 600W unit also.

    Your wallet will thank you when your ESB bill arrives. After downgrading from a 1200W PSU to the 700W one I have, my ESB bill went down €40.

    Alright then Ill go with this http://www1.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=30069&agid=1628

    Everything should be fine now? What about that hard drive issue I mentioned in the first post?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,180 ✭✭✭Serephucus

    Non-existent. Any hard drive will work with any operating system as long as the right connections are there (they are).

    Alright. Everything seems to be in order so. Ill place my order as soon as I can get to the bank :D
