Anybody nervous that any LFC scorer today will be playing for Chelsea in next league clash?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,218 ✭✭✭mada999

hmm really attacking side from Kenny... didnt he throw a weird formation at them last time too?

Maxi's first start since may according to the lovely Claire on LFC.TV... will be interesting to see maxi and bellar's on... 4-4-2 ... worried about Adam's fitness after the 70 min mark... hendo to come on for him in the middle and score..

Depends very much on who the goal scorer is

Downing, Henderson and Carroll on the bench - just goes to show how bad our signings have been.

It really doesn't go to show that, if suarez has of been left out would he counted as a poor signing?

Enrigue, Adam, Suarez and Bellamy start, the fact that Carroll is there where last year it would of been N'gog, Henderson 1st choice in midfield off the bench where last year it was spearing, Downing there over who exactly? what wing options had we on the bench?

Signing far from perfect, but the nay-saying on here is a complete joke.

    I hope so !

Initial observation from the team news; not picking his most regularly selected XI in a big game indicates Villas-Boas has a plan for this.

Malouda, Luiz and Drogba starting, Meireles being dropped and Liverpool playing with pace up front

    => Liverpool win.

Not sure what AVB is playing at here.

Just to put Liverpool fans at ease

You should be delighted if Dorgba starts. He's done nothing in a long time. He got his chance when Torres was suspense and looked like he lost his power that made him the striker he want.

I'd honestly have more faith in Torres.

Also David Luiz is rumored to start. I think the criticism of him was unfair. I'm hoping that he will prove today that he is a world class defender.

Yep, it really is now or never for the Drog. Can he find a last barn storming performance?
Heart says yes, head says no - should have started Torres, it is at home after all

    For chelsea,

    Bellamy-Suarez

    Maxi-Adam-Kuyt

    Lucas.

Runners, hard workers, pace. All ready to overload the box when needed.

Its solid though, mikel holding, ivan at rb. Hopefully a sign of a more reserved tactic for today.

So Carroll scores a winner and you'd still want rid of him....he can't win!

Smicer scored in the CL final, still wanted rid of him. Anyway, its not that I want rid of Carroll, but for the right money I'd be happy to see him go and get someone else in

Chelsea's bench is nearly stronger than the starting 11 :)

Unfortunatly, Our bench looks very English and fairly expensive.

    My thoughts too.
Malouda and Drogba starting..would have much preferred to see Torres and Sturridge in there.

The game is a model for a peno , involving Suarez and Luiz

    no it wont

Never been so negative about a game before
Why pick 2 totally out of form players for such an important game???
Danny and Torres both have much more form than drog and malouda

And the obsession with Mikel, when Romeu is so much better?

    Not impressed at all

The Liverpool players will be wearing black armbands to mark the passing of Brad Jones' son.

Thats why he gets paid the big bucks , must have a plan , has to be tactical decisions

for a game like this I think it will be a good move playing Malouda ahead of Sturridge.
He has had success against Liverpool in the past and will fancy his chances up against Glen Johnson.

If all fails you have a lad like Sturridge with great pace to come on in the second half

love if Hiddink got the job, that would finish Chelsea off

seems he is still trading off his temporary role there before.

Vastly overrated managers, good but was never near the top bracket.

AVB is a better manager but I just think Chelsea is the wrong club for him. Its too soon for him.

Too right, the Turks aren't too keen on him thats for sure, even the Russians. Well except one particular Russian :p

Coupled with the fact he makes Harry Redknapp look like an Inland Revene officers dream :D

He's not a million miles off about Hiddink either tbh (apart from the "end of Chelsea" hyperbole). Still question marks over him as a fulltime club manager in 2011 IMO.

Have to say I agree to a certain degree in relation to Hiddink. I do think hes a good coach, but hes not in the top bracket.

He shored Chelsea up after a rocky spell, but I don't think he is the man to take them to the level they want to be at i.e winning leagues and European Cups. He is the perfect short term option for someone.

Chelsea have one of the best young coaches in the world right now in Villas Boas, to put the squeeze on him right now and fail to give him time to do his thing would be stupid.

He would go somewhere else and work magic.

Great long term thinking. Then again Chelsea are always about the here and now.

Leaving club bias aside, Neville is a million times better than the alternative, the dreaded Ray Wilkins.
